Versioning and changes
How the API changes without breaking your integration.
The version is in the path: /v1. Within a version we only make additive changes:
- new capabilities, options or languages;
- new fields in responses;
- new error codes within existing statuses.
Your code should ignore fields it does not know. A breaking change ships as a new version, announced in the changelog with a migration guide and a support period for the old version.
Each response includes meta.api_version. Calculation fixes that change results, for example a corrected boundary case, are listed in the changelog with the affected capabilities.
