How credits work
Each capability has a published credit cost, shown in the API reference and in every successful response. Only successful calls are charged; repeating a request with the same idempotency key never charges twice.
Reports and AI readings draw on the same credits. A report is a fixed price; an AI reading is metered by the model cost it actually used, so a short answer costs less than a long one. Branded PDFs are an add-on.

Any report as a PDF with your name, logo and colour, rendered in the background and downloaded from a private link that expires. Charged on top of the report's 10 credits; a failed PDF is free.
AI readings
BetaMetered from your credits
Readings written from chart data we compute, never from free text. Charged by the measured model cost: typically 60-170 credits (fast), 250-750 credits (balanced), 1,500-4,000 credits (deep). Errors are free.
Billing questions
- What counts as a credit?
- Each capability has a fixed cost by compute class: 1 credit for light and standard calculations, 3 for heavy ones such as planet positions or the full birth-chart bundle, and 10 for a report. AI readings are metered from the same credits by the model cost they used. Failed calls, validation errors and our own errors are never charged.
- What happens when I run out of credits?
- The API stops with a clear 429 quota_exhausted error, never a silent failure or a surprise bill. Buy a top-up from the dashboard, upgrade your plan, or wait for your monthly credits to renew. On a paid plan you can instead turn on overage with a monthly spending cap you choose.
- How does overage work?
- Overage is off unless you turn it on in Billing, on an active paid plan, with a monthly cap of at least one smallest top-up. When your plan credits and top-ups are used up, live calls continue at your plan's top-up rate until the cap, never past it; at the cap they stop with 429 spend_cap_reached. You get an email (and a webhook on plans with webhooks) when overage starts and at 50%, 80% and 100% of the cap. Overage is billed with GST when the cap is reached and after each monthly period, and you pay the bill from Billing within 7 days; an unpaid bill pauses live calls until it is paid. The sandbox never uses overage.
- Do unused credits carry over?
- Plan credits reset each billing month. Top-up credits last until your current plan period ends and are used after your plan credits.
- Can I change or cancel my plan?
- Upgrade at any time; the new allowance applies immediately. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period, and your keys keep working until then.
- Do you issue GST invoices?
- Yes. Invoices are issued by Kuber Astro Solution Pvt. Ltd. Add your GSTIN at checkout for a B2B invoice with input tax credit.
- Which languages are included?
- AI readings can be written in 26 languages, including Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, Tamil, Gujarati and Urdu, on every plan at no extra cost per language; the text is machine-written and not reviewed by native speakers. Calculations and reports return English, with optional translated labels for signs, planets and other terms in 13 Indian languages. The Languages page in the docs lists every capability's languages.
